Full-time Clerk - The responsibilities of this position include greeting guests, answering phones, copying and scanning documents, scheduling for attorneys, client contact, file organization, occasional case management and administration, maintaining BLC's website, filing documents at Court, and offering general support to BLC's staff.
This position requires someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, organized, professional, and works well in a small, collegial team environment with or without direct supervision. Experience with Microsoft Office, as well as general computer/web familiarity, are strongly preferred. Interest in, or experience with, family law and/or alternative dispute resolution would be a plus, but is not essential. Family Law Office Administrator - As a member of the BLC team, the Office Administrator is the first person that clients and potential clients walking into our office see. The individual selected will be directly responsible for handling incoming calls and scheduling for three of our attorneys, and assisting them with correspondence, and will therefore need to be both professional and comfortable in dealing with clients and attorneys. We need to have an organized, confident individual who has an ability to handle multiple tasks at once as part of BLC's "front line."
This is a full-time, 5 day per week position that requires a positive, team-oriented attitude. Internships - BLC has had interns from the UMass Graduate Program in Dispute Resolution, New England School of Law, University of Vermont School of Law, a law school in Germany, Wesleyan University, University of Missouri Law School, Suffolk University Law School, and Northeastern University Law School. One of our interns was a retired partner from a major accounting firm who was studying dispute resolution.
